Dear DBS Family,
I want to sincerely thank each one of you for continuing to show your dedication and support as we progress through a time of change, reorganization, and growth within the company. Although
it has been a few long weeks of demanding increased flexibility and grace, we recognize and
appreciate your ongoing drive and excitement for the success of this company. I am excited to
say that through this reorganization; with each of your unique, individual strengths and talents, we are already seeing positive growth.
I would like to take this opportunity to focus on two key words, that I believe have been of the
utmost importance to our successes this past month.
Persistence and Perseverance.
Both attributes have been crucial to not only the success of the company, but the success and
growth in each one of you. I am grateful for the persistence and perseverance that is being
continuously shown within each department and throughout every difficult circumstance we are encountering.
While working in the competitive markets of Ft. Myers and the surrounding areas, we have seen the profound challenges that demand such perseverance. Although these challenges may knock us down temporarily, it is important that we continue to stand up and show up. We must continue to lead with confidence and an unwavering effort, even when these odds are against us. Let us not allow short-lived challenges to distract us from the abundance of opportunity we are blessed with.
Perseverance is not solely in the long run, but also in the many short races along the way.
Ephesians 3:20-21 states “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or
imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in
Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen”.
We want to pause during these times to acknowledge that all our opportunities and success as
a company and in our personal lives can only be truly attributed to God. God provides us with
opportunities, and he also equips each of us with the abilities and strengths to persist and persevere through all that this world holds. If we just trust that God will provide as he promised
and follow the path he has laid out, we will find ourselves with all the blessings he has promised
and sometimes more.
Through the week reflect on the two words persistence and perseverance; attributes
that each one of you continues to demonstrate daily. If you hadn’t, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Let’s continue this momentum!

Hi! I'm Hugh & I am a new estimator! I'm originally from Manassas, VA, the site of the first ground battle of the Civil War, and moved down to Bradenton about 3 years ago. My grandfather was the goalkeeper for the Dublin city soccer club back in the '50's so I grew up playing soccer. (Not to be outdone, my other grandfather invented an oxygen flow system for the Saturn 5 rocket.) I love reading sci-fi and am slowly but steadily expanding the bookshelf space in my house. The minimum capacity to be considered a library is 500 books and I want to eventually hit that.

Well done team!
Thank you all for responding to Hurricane Ian so quickly, and continuing to respond in a time of disaster and desperation. Though the days are long, and the circumstances are less than ideal, we continue to prevail in everything we do.
The ability to show up & the resources we are equipped with have already made a significant impact on those located in Ft Myers.
